LAUNCHING: Curaskin, a Local Skin and Body Care

Hello gorgeous, welcome back to jennitanuwijaya blog! If you follow my instagram (@jennitanuwijaya) you must've been already know that I attended the launching of Curaskin at Lippo Mall Puri last week. So now, we're gonna talk about the event itself.

There are lots of skincare and bodycare products that I've tried throughout these years, and still I keep exploring on it. It feels so exciting to find something that has "result in 15days" as their tagline. In this launching event, Curaskin gave us free products that suits our skin, and we can pay when the product works well on our skin after 15 days. What if it's not? Then we don't have to pay even a single penny. Zhen bang! #kalococokbarubayar

Having a background of trying so hard to find a good skin and body care after stopped using prescription products from doctor, Dr Elia Gunawan finally decided to create her own brand. She even guarantee 90% chance that the product will work on you. How could she be so sure? That's because Curaskin's using a technology called smart skin analysis that consists of:
- RGB pore
- RGB spot
- RGB wrinkle
- RGB roughness
- UV porphyrin
- UV pigmentation
- UV moisture
- UV damage

Curaskin kindheartedly let 100 first attendance of their launching event to get FREE skin analysis and choose up to three products that suits their skin to be tried onto fifteen days. As I've mentioned before, they'll only asked to pay if the product works well on their skin.

After having a good talkshow with Dr Elia as the founder of Curaskin, we also get to see Han Yoo Ra, the famous Korean Influencer that has been living in Indonesia. She told us about the secret of glowing Korean skin that looks more like healthy skin. The more she's sweating, the healthier it'll look. Meanwhile in Indonesia, the more we sweat.... The more we look dull hahaha. JK.

So Yoo Ra eonnie said that the key is skincare. Try not to cover too much of your skin, instead, repair the skin. Take a good care of it, use skincare to get the best version of our skin. Serum layering if possible (remember to use a light layer of serum and choose the right type) so you'll get glowing skin on the next morning. She herself said that she often do that "hack" when it comes to glowing skin. Curaskin's serum can be the right choice to serum layering, she said. Makes me wonder and want to try the trick, tho! Who knows, on the next morning my skin might look like hers ;p

Also, I get to visit Curaskin's store after the launching event. It's located in Parkson (near front entrance) so you might spot something green easily. They have all variants on the display. Even though it looks professional and promising, the price range is still reasonable. You can try to combine between range to create the perfect skincare routine.

Safi Blogger Gathering + White Expert Series Review

Hello gorgeous, welcome back! Have you ever heard about halal skincare brand from Malaysia? They’ve been in hype lately, and I’m about to share the fun with you! Few weeks ago, Safi Indonesia held a blogger gathering at Blue Jasmine, The Maja. They’ve been really kind to invite me to the event and had lots of fun and treats. Let’s get started, shall we?

The event was on Saturday afternoon, with blue ornament everywhere just like Safi’s image. I love how the table decorated, and how they choose the venue. The outdoor seat at Blue Jasmine was really pretty and get perfect natural lighting. The stage was simple yet cute. We all had fun taking pictures and boomerang, further more there are lots of pretty girls who are humble enough to support each other. Started with having lunch, who doesn’t love feast? The food at Blue Jasmine was always good, and I always love to had a meal there. Meanwhile, we took pictures and boomerang for Instagram competition and boomerang challenge. Fun and enjoyable moment!

Then the show started. The host greet bloggers as audience, and had a little talk about Safi and its products. Turns out some of us has already tried the products, and they really love it. It makes me even more curious about how the product would work on my skin. The best selling ones are Safi White Expert series, which is a brightening skincare range. Since we’re so excited to get to know more about the brand and the product, hence we start the talk show.

What’re we going to do at the talkshow? We show the way we talk. Lol just kidding! Let’s start the real topic.

Safi is a halal (safe), natural, and tested (effective) brand from Malaysia. They meet Moslem women expectation to have the real beauty and reach their own potential. It was all started at Safi Research Institute, the first Halal Institute in the world. Located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, there are hundreds researchers that had interactions with Indonesian moslem women to find their needs of skincare that are halal, natural, and tested (halal, natural, teruji). To get better each and every day, to have the true beauty inside every woman.

They launched the brand in Indonesia less than one year ago, and the market’s response was great. This brings Safi into one of the top skincare brand in Indonesia. One of the best selling range is their White Expert Series. Hence, now they’re ready to release another product line in Indonesia. Actually they already launched more products in Malaysia like hair care product and toothpaste. The one’s being launched soon in Indonesia is their hair care range. They have various shampoo and conditioner, all specialized for those who wears hijab. It happens that those who wears hijab has more problems than the ones don’t. they tend to have dandruff, wet sculp, hair loss, etc. So Safi made the products to overcome those problems. Anyways, if one of you had sensitive skin, the team has confirmed that Safi’s products are safe for you. As it was made from natural ingredients, they’re also safe for those of you moms who are pregnant (carrying baby) or maybe breastfeeding your baby. All the products are water based, that’s why it’s safe.

Safi Indonesia’s team are kind enough to send me more loves, they gave me some products to try at home. They’re the white expert series. What made them so effective are their main ingredient; Habbatus Sauda, and their technology : Oxywhite. Let’s get to know them!

Habbatus Sauda, also known as the seed of blessing or jintan hitam. Since hundreds years ago, this ingredients has been trusted as medicine to heal any kind of disease, and to maintain a good healthy and bright skin. The antioxidant in this ingredient helps protecting the skin from free radicals.

Oxywhite Technology, helps to release additional oxygen into the skin, makes our skin feels refreshed, helps nutrition absorbing, and slow down darkening effect of our skin by reducing the melanin production. Hence, it makes our skin looks brighter.

Safi White Expert Purifying Makeup Remover

Is a water based makeup remover that is very soft with ingredients of Habbatus Sauda, OxyWhite, and Micellar Technology.

Claim:

- Cleanse makeup and dirt from the face easily

- Keep the skin moisturized and elasticity with Bio Hyaluronic

- Suits all skin type including sensitive skin

How to use: pour onto cotton pads, wipe gently onto your face to remove makeup and dirt. No need to rinse it off.

After trying this product, I think:

The packaging was clear and simple. You can find every information needed there, from the brand, product variant, size, ingredients, manufacturing information, except the price. The bottle top is not so safe I guess, that the product can be spoiled accidentally, so you’ll need to keep it safe. Maybe when you’re travelling with this buddy, you need separated pouch to keep this one.

As you can see the texture from outside, it was just like water. It works GREAT on my face while removing all makeup and dirt, just with two cotton pads (two sides). It’s just me having combination normal to oily skin, that needs to make sure every drop of oil excess on my face are wiped out too, that’s why I used another cleanser after this micellar. If you ain’t a sensitive or oily ones, then you might be all good to go with only micellar cleanser like this.

The scent somehow refreshed me (and my skin for sure), so yeah I love this one.

Safi White Expert Purifying Cleanser 2in1 Cleanser & Toner

Is a two action face cleanser. This gel cleanser is easy to wipe. And:

- Cleanse makeup and dirt with the soft scrub

- Having habbatus sauda, sunflower seed, and vitamin e as antioxidant to protect skin from free radicals

- Without additional soap ingredient so keeps pH balanced

- Enriched with menthol to refresh the skin

How to use:

Pump and pour the right amount to your palms, massage onto face gently and wash with clean water.

After trying this product, I think:

The packaging was smart. They’re in clear pump bottle, so you can see the product inside and see how much product left. This pump made sure it’s easy for you to get the product in the right amount onto your hands. And I love to see how equally the scrub are placed inside the bottle. What they need to improve is how to make this product travel friendly (since I’m more onto practical and easy-to-travel product person). The texture was nice and smooth, and yet cleanse my face perfectly. It helps my skin feels refreshed and I like it! Took less time in skin care usage since I can skip toner now ;p

Just like the micellar, this one smells so good and refreshing. It’s just the fragrance seems like stronger than the ones in the micellar.

Safi White Expert Ultimate Essence

Is soft textured essence, that are:

- Brightens up the skin

- Fade pigmentation on our skin

- Even out skintone

- Soothe skin with redness

- Soften and hydrates skin

How to use:

Gently tap onto face and neck, massage gently until it absorbs onto your skin.

After trying the product, I think:

I don’t know the reason they use another box to store this baby, while we can find all the information needed on the bottle itself. I love how thoughtful they’re in choosing this pump bottle, with simple design yet still attractive. The texture itself is super soft and smooth, easy to apply and absorbs onto my skin in no time. No sticky feeling at all. No wonder, it’s waterbased product anyway. Feels super light on my skin feels like I’m wearing nothing, so I love it! Easy and safe to bring in the travel bag. Anyway, this one has the softest scent out of the three products I tried. Definitely a must-try product!

Purbasari Hydra Series Update | Djoempa Juwita

Hello gorgeous, hope you’re doing well since I have good news to share with you. Indonesian local brand has been exploring and expanding their wings lately. This one brand, has been around for years and tagged as the affordable one – will be launching new products soon. You must’ve often heard about Purbasari. Has been known for body care and also makeup. Few days ago they invited me to the Djoempa Juwita event, where we had so much fun!

The event took place at Cerita Café, Jakarta. It’s a great place, I’d say. Semi-outdoor café with some decoration. Of course, the dresscode to this event was vintage. So here’s what I’m wearing. Top from Stradivarious, self-made skirt, VNC wedges (super comfy), with red lipstick and winged eyeliner. Perfect for such a vintage theme, huh?

We had lots of fun activities, such as talkshow, makeup demo, and also pouch painting activity. At the talkshow session, we talked about the new products that’ll be launched on 2019 which I’m gonna share about on the next paragraph. Alpina Ilham as the executive of hydra series also told us about how good the product is. They also use the newest product at makeup demo, to show how the product works. Last but not least, we had lots of fun creating our very own pouch painting that can be brought home.

Move on to the products, here’s the review:

Volumizing Eyelashes

Made from a high quality synthetic hair with natural shape and easy to use. This product will enhance your eye makeup to look natural and pretty.

What makes people love this is because it’s lightweight (feels like not wearing any falsies when I use this), and also volumizing (their claim). Not to mention they’re soft and comfortable. After trying this on no 01 (they have two variants) I can say the hair is not really volumizing on no.01. But it surely feels soft and natural, and super comfortable to wear. Cost IDR 20.000/pair of eyelashes. Has no glue in the packaging, and they don’t sell the glue as well. Might be another soon-to-be-launched product, so let’s wait patiently.

Hi-matte lip cream with shimmer finish

Purbasari has their hi-matte series on trending a while ago, with good pigmentation and wearable colors. Now they launch the new ones, with shimmer finish. They have five shades but what I get here is shade 14 and 15. When swatching the colors at the event , I fell in love with all of them. Trust me, they’re all pretty and made me want to have all of them.

What makes people love this product, is the highly pigmented formula which you don’t need to doubt about anymore, the UV filter, shimmer finish, Vitamin E, and moisturizing creamy texture.

The pigmentation is really good, it surely covered all my natural lip color. Anyway from my experience, this lip cream start fading after we eat and drink, so you might need to bring a backup for touch up when you go out wearing this one. Surely had no problem on having dry lips using this product, since it moisturized my lips and feel creamy too. Cost IDR 52.800/product.

Ultra Smooth Browliner

Who can go out without wearing any eyebrow? Well, surely not me. And probably, not you. I believe girls nowadays needs to draw eyebrows wherever we go, right? For daily use, I love to use eyebrow pencil to create something natural and feathery. This Purbasariultra smooth browliner is a retractable eyebrow pencil so you won’t need to sharpen it, and of course easy to use. Having tear-drop shape helps us in creating feathery lines or even define the eyebrow shape. Included a spoolie brush on the packaging, makes it easier to have a perfect brow! What I really love from this product is the texture of the pencil. It feels creamy and smooth texture, glides perfectly on my brows. This makes easier blending. Cost IDR 42.000/pencil.

Intense Color Liquid Liner

What makes a vintage looks vintage is a winged eyeliner! Yet the problem to oily-lid girls like me is eyeliner gets wiped easily. Not an easy task finding some eyeliner that works on oily eyelid like mine. This eyeliner, is not only waterproof but also hold on oil well! I even tried to apply this onto my face yet after one whole day it still stay in place. This pen eyeliner is easy to apply, even when we want to create wing eyeliner.

Purbasariuse internal ball bearing technology which makes the formula stay and prevent discoloration. Quick drying formula prevents you from having unperfect eyeliner, easy to apply too. They still can improve the product by making the brush a lil bit softer, so someone with sensitive eyes can use it comfortably. Cost IDR 69.000/eyeliner.

Lip On Lip Velvet Mateness – Moisturizing Matte Local Lipstick by Rohto

Hello gorgeous! If you’re one of my Instagram family, you must’ve already known that I attended Lip on Lip Playdate event with Female daily a month ago. If you didn’t know, then you should be one of my Instagram family and turn on notification to see my latest activity. It was super fun, since I got to meet new blogger and vlogger friends whom I’ve never met before. We also learned about the product itself, all matte lipstick by LipOnLip.

Wait, have you ever heard about Lip on Lip? Maybe you’ve seen the product at drugstores in Indonesia. Yes, it’s a local cosmetic brand by Rohto Company. You’ll feel familiar with the sister brands like Lip Ice, Skin Aqua (I use this one every single day and even repurchased for lots of time hihi), Hada Labo (who doesn’t even know this brand?), and Acnes (those with acne problem like me will know this really well). The concept is actually matte lipstick but moisturizing and nourishing. As Rohto is a medicine company, they wanted to innovate on matte lipstick, something that can be worn by everyone. Even those with dry lips. Of course it’s not an easy job to create the formula of the product. They even said, it’s easier to create new drug than creating a moisturizing matte lipstick. But the good news is, this product is safe for pregnant mom and breast feeding mom.

Anyway, I was quite shook when I found lots of influencer like Angelica, Paula, and others. It turned out that we can play together, seriously lipstick brings every girl together! ;p Anyway at the event, there’s guests on talkshow session: Ms. Arlien from Rohto and Ochel from Female Daily. We talked about matte lipstick and the market trend. Anyway, here’s a special tips by Ochel as a make up artist on choosing the right lipstick shade:

Look at their skin tone, nude color with pinkish undertone suits light skin. While nude color with brown undertone suits yellow undertone skin, so they won’t look pale. This product suits on Indonesian skin, even those who has tanned skin. They will even look sexy! , Ochel said.

Move on to the product review, Let’s see what the product claims:

- Can be mixed and matched all colors

- Lightweight feeling

- Moisturizing

Packaging

The packaging is sturdy, with outer box to show the product details. They show the brand name, shade, ingredients, size, how to use, storage information, barcode. As for the real product packaging it looks pretty simple, white glossy tube with brand name on the packaging. Ms. Arlien from Rohto said, they wanted to keep it simple and travel friendly. Even it suits clutch to accompany you to concert. Just like other lipsticks, if you want to use it simply turn the tube around and you’ll get the product.

Shades and Texture

LiponLip has five shades:

- Pinkish (pink)

- Peony (pink fuschia)

- Reddish (red)

- Rosie (mauve)

- Nude (brown nude)

As for the texture, this has velvet finish rather than dead matte. Since they have moisturizing effect, it’s normal to have velvet finish. Me myself prefer something like this rather than dead matte, since my lips got dry easily.

Overall

In my opinion, these colors are pretty and wearable for both daily look and special occasions. The pigmentation is pretty good, as this product can cover my not-so-light lips. This buddy has light texture, and creamy too so it’s surely moisturized my lips well. The color can hold on pretty good, but when we eat or drink the color will fade and leave natural stain. What you need to remember, not all lip products can be worn as you wanted too. I’m a person of easiness so sometimes I try to use lipsticks as full face makeup. We need to learn the ingredients to know if its suitable or not for full face makeup, especially when you have sensitive skin like me who gets irritate easily. Lip On Lip light and contains moisturizer, so this one can be our option on being creative for full face makeup using lipstick. But if you have sensitive skin like me, use less products so our skin can breathe.
